About oUR FOUNDER AND CO-DIRECTOR - Susan J. Zachman

For over 25 years Director Sue Zachman has worked to connect the dots between siloed systems in highly complex, regulated environments. Most recently Sue has been working with grassroots advocacy organizations at the intersection of strategy, legal, and operational effectiveness. In the Democracy Capacity Project she is working to make free practical guidance resources widely available to the nonprofit advocacy ecosystem. You can learn more about Sue here.

 

About oUR CO-DIRECTOR -
Jon Connolly

Jon is an experienced and effective advocate, leader, advisor, team-builder, and counselor. For over 20 years, he has advised individual and institutional clients in highly regulated industries on some of their most challenging legal issues, in a variety of organizations both large and small. As someone whose first adult job was teaching writing to college students, nothing makes him happier than taking something really complicated and finding a way to explain it simply. After acting as an informal advisor to our Founder, Sue Zachman, as she launched the Democracy Capacity Project, he joined full-time in September 2022 to help realize the vision of user-friendly practical resources made available to the nonprofit advocacy community, completely free of charge.
